Don’t you just love it when duels are played in a way to represent or symbolize other events that took place? O'Brien is forced into a situation where he must make a choice. O'Brien chooses Volcanic Devil just as he chose to save his dad, and sacrifices Volcanic Queen just like he decided to give up his mother. It doesn’t help that Volcanic Queen keeps on screaming because she’s literally engulfed in flames.
