No…

You guys are supposed to keep Judai from being impulsive and doing something stupid. You don’t just let him do as he pleases and follow along when you clearly know what could happen in this world.

se-to-oh

In my opinion, it was when Asuka dropped the ball. She and Manjoume are usually the two who call Judai out on his bullshit. I can understand Asuka wants to be as supportive as she can after seeing him breaking after Judai remembered who Yubel was, but that wasn’t a good idea.

This is how you write a realistic character: sometimes we are so involved in a situation we do bad calls. We truly want to help a person, to do what is the best for them and we believe in them. However, she didn’t realized that Judai wasn’t thinking straight, in other occasions he actually managed to keep cool under pressure, even if he was stressed. So yeah, it was a big mistake on Asuka’s (and everybody else) part

They’re definitely realistic. Still, I would think that Judai not listening to their input on what they need to do and putting those innocent people at risk would tip them off that Judai’s not thinking straight, but it seems not.

That was a good time for that slap in his face like she is going to do in season 4

I can understand Judai’s reasoning: so far he have been saving everybody’s skin for the past 3 seasons and Johan is missing because of him, so he doesn’t want to take any chances. Maybe he is even considering the nightmares he had early season 3. So yeah, if they stay around him they might get themselves in danger, but without him too! Besides, it is a common thing that we believe we are all immune to be in danger: we won’t get sick, we won’t be on an accident, we don’t believe in this possibility until it happens to ourselves, so no way that Judai would believe that he would need help himself.

Stubborn idiot

Season 3 Judai frustrates me but what makes me the most upset is that I think I might behave like him in his situation AND like his friends if they were in their situation (but I believe I would totally call on my friend’s shit. I’ve done that before)

I suppose when you realize you would’ve done the same as him, you find that Judai was such a well written character. Because he’s realistic and very human.
